It is important to understand that not one person knows it all. Knowledge comes from books, training and experience. It is important as helicopter pilots to create an environment of shared, available information because at the end of it all- it is your life. The opportunities are there. Let’s take them! Let’s create an environment we can all succeed.

Rotorhead Resources Inc. started as two 30-something year olds always looking at the sky and to break limitations. We were provided unrealistic expectations from the internet, which led us to less than ideal flight schools. At 40 plus hours and out of hope, they searched for something different. It was only by luck, destiny (or possibly a change in the wind) that they not only found each other- but they found a flight school with great instructors that gave a dang.

As student pilots, we found a grand lack of resources available without a cost. You have flight school, ground school, books, materials, knowledge tests, check rides (and all the stuff in-between). Where do you find each of these things? Since we did not have a flight school adequately provide us with all the resources at first- we had to do it on our own. This is the general consensus. We also noticed we were continuously searching for help via Facebook groups and outside organizations. The current groups cost money to join and/or are mainly fix-wing based. The helicopter pilot Facebook groups can be brutal for a beginner, which can be discouraging. We created Rotorhead Resources Inc to change that.

Let’s make it clear. We are not helicopter or aviation experts. But are helicopter pilots as are you, or as you're aspiring to be. If you have information you would like to share, or notice anything that is incorrect or out of date- let us know! We want, need, and will be excited to share and update.
